RRF committee member, Anne Glennie, has fought tirelessly to draw attention to the fact that teachers in Scotland are not routinely trained in evidence-informed systematic synthetic phonics practices and that this is contributing to the low literacy levels in the country.
Anne initiated a Scottish petition which was signed by people with a wide variety of roles and responsibilities including Sir Jim Rose. Subsequently she was invited to give evidence in light of her petition.

Thanks Jenny. A big thank you and well done to Anne, Sarah and Gordon, great advocacy for Synthetic Phonics. A must see presentation which needs as wide an audience as possible.
