It's Orton-Gillingham based. I have a demo CD that I picked up at a conference this summer -- I haven't looked at it yet however. Some people I respect have recommended it, but I don't know the details. I believe it does go into the six syllable types and other O-G specifics.
So it teaches sight words (HFWs), blends and spelling patterns.palisadesk wrote:It's Orton-Gillingham based.
I had it on trial for a while, but I couldn't see where it could be useful as it didn't 'fit' with the way I work. I know that lots of people on another forum swear by it, but I think that is because they are mostly OG trained 'dyslexia specialists'. (Likewise 'Nessy'; another OG based programme which is often recommended)
